FINTRAC imposes an administrative monetary penalty on the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation

September 3, 2026 — Ottawa

FINTRAC announced today that it has imposed an administrative monetary penalty on the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation. Following a compliance examination, this reporting entity in the casino sector, headquartered in Fredericton, New Brunswick, was imposed an administrative monetary penalty of $399,712.50 on July 24, 2026, for non-compliance with Part 1 of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (the Act) and associated Regulations.

The New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation was found to have committed the following administrative violation:

The New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation has paid the administrative monetary penalty in full and the case is closed.
