Methods to report to FINTRAC
Submit Reports to FINTRAC
FINTRAC is currently implementing new reporting systems in a phased approach.
Reporting entities and service providers who are enrolled can submit reports to FINTRAC using the FINTRAC API report submission or the FINTRAC Web Reporting System.
For more information on FINTRAC’s reporting system implementation, consult:
Learn about the methods you can use to submit financial transaction reports to the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) and their technical specifications, or the agreements you may enter into with services providers to report on your behalf.
Requirement to report electronically
Businesses that have an Internet connection must submit the following reports electronically:
- Suspicious Transaction Reports
- Large Cash Transaction Reports
- Large Virtual Currency Transaction Reports
- Electronic Funds Transfer Reports
- Casino Disbursement Reports
However, you must use the paper form to submit Terrorist Property Reports.
Paper reporting forms
If you do not have the technical capability to submit reports electronically, you must submit reports to FINTRAC in paper form.
